Very bad experience

I would suggest staying clear of this place! Very suspicious. Went there with abscess tooth and cracked crown

Was told they didn't find absess

Hmm...Told they could replace crown but only with porcelain infused crown and medicaid did not cover. Hmm

Almost seemed relieved when I cancelled appointment. Medicaid patients or any patients beware!!!

First Time Patient

I had my first appointment today at the Family Dental Team located at The Lakemore Plaza, 1500 Canton Rd. I was going in basically for a consultation because I just recently lost my job and had to change insurance. Needless to say, I walked out of the office feeling worse than I did before I walked in. The staff was very friendly, but the doctor didn't even introduce himself when we met for the first time. Therefore, I do not even know his name. He made me feel as though I was an inconvenience, and I was a waste of his time. Instead of making me comfortable, he made me feel as though I was beneath him. I already have fears of dentists, so today's situation only made me feel even more insecure. I don't smile because I hate my teeth and the way they make me look, all I wanted to do was to learn my options about what to do next with my teeth since my last dentist informed me I needed to have all my teeth pulled due to bone loss and expense in the long run. I've already had some life changing events take place recently that have made me feel very insecure about how I look and feel, and today's visit to the dentist made me feel even worse. He basically said since I don't have very good insurance I'd have to go 2 months without teeth. So basically he didn't care about me as a patient, he only cared whether or not I had good insurance.. I've never actually cried leaving an appt. of any kind, whether it's doctor or dentist, but today I did...
