      Better off going to another music shop or purchasing a violin. The rental agreement is a rip off.

      I have rented 4 different sizes of cellos and 2 violins from Robertson's. If you wait until they are in town for a convention then you don't have to pay for shipping, but the shipping isn't unreasonable anyway when you think about the delicacy of these instruments. I have always followed their directions for care and maintenance and shipping and have never had a problem with the returns. My children used these intruments in school and city orchestras and even took them to camp, but we take good care of our instruments. Very reliable and knowledgeable staff, nice quality instruments, great customer service.
