General Info

Based in Alhambra, Calif., Park Elementary School is a coeducational school that serves more than 700 students in grades kindergarten through eight and is operated by the Alhambra Unified School District. It offers a wide variety of academic courses, including reading, mathematics, English, foreign languages, social studies, science, and physical and health education. The school also offers parent education classes that provide assistance to children in learning and practicing reading at home. It provides various instructional practices, such as reader s workshops, Reading Buddies and Reader s Theatre to increase student interest in reading. The elementary school provides a wide variety of facilities, such as more than 20 classrooms, a library, play areas for children, fitness center, auditorium, learning center, and computer and science laboratories. Park Elementary School receives donations from the community and educational grants that are used to increase the number of books in the school s library and classrooms.
