Business History
Capt. Stacy was started over 60 years ago in the early 1960s by Captain Sonny and his wife Joyce Davis. Capt. Sonny fished with his father as a mate and also captained a boat by the age of 17. Sonny and Joyce met at age 18, and got married in their early 20’s. Sonny built his first headboat and started his own business, which he named after his father Capt. Stacy Davis. Capt. Sonny ran the boat with his wife Joyce taking reservations. When his sons Maurice and Joe were old enough, they worked as deckhands. His daughter Loretta took over the bookkeeping at the age of 15.
