Provided by YPmobileI was asked to provide payment before our order would be taken. I find this totally rude and insulting. We love the food and atmosphere but don't appreciate being treated like a criminal to get it. If it wouldn't have been for our incredibly amazing server Zach we would have left.

Provided by YPmobileGREAT FOOD!
Fried Oyster Plate was Excellent! Get a medium green salad. Oysters(8 to 20) were huge and not dry in a well seasoned corn meal batter. French fries (or your choice of side) and 3 large hush puppies included. Kid's chicken and shrimp plates contained plenty of both.
Service friendly & prompt. Prices reasonable.

Provided by YP.comWas very dissatisfied. Found hair in food. The manager did not seem to care when I told him about it.
I told the manager I saw one of the waiters with long hair, and when he turned his head while holding a plate of food in his hands, his hair brushed with the food. The manager did not seem to care about this either.
Dont think I will return there.
The wait was shorter than the twenty minutes initially given. It looked clean but I could smell a hint of pesticides in the lobby area while waiting to be seated. The none smoking area is a joke. I could see and smell the smoke. The restaurant is not that big. "Seafood Platter" well flavored. small crab claws; 3- medium size fried shrimp; 1-stuffed shrimp (lots of bread); 1-small oyster; 2-pieces of fried catfish (lite & flaky); 3-excellent green onion hush puppies; lots of french fries (room temperature). The wait was shorter than the twenty minutes required for lunch time. It looked clean. Greeting were given
This is one of the best restaurants in our city! All of the food is wonderful. The blackened alligator with hollandaise sauce is to die for! I have never had a bad experience with the Chimes. I am happy that they even opened one close to my work! I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. But, just a warning, the Highland Road Chimes gets extremely crowded on LSU game days! Go Tigers!
