About Elyse...Elyse Resch, M.S.,R.D.,F.A.D.A., Nutrition Therapist. Elyse has been in private practice in Beverly Hills as a nutrition therapist for 28 years, specializing in eating disorders, Intuitive Eating, and preventative nutrition. She is the co-author of "Intuitive Eating" (St. Martin's Press 1995, 1996, 2003), co-author of Intuitive Eating, audio version by Sounds True, 2009, and has published journal articles, and does regular speaking engagements and press interviews. She is nationally known for her work in helping patients break free from the dieting mentality through the "Intuitive Eating" process. Elyse's philosophy embraces the goal of reconnecting with the internal wisdom about eating with which one is born, for the purpose of developing a healthy and satisfying relationship with food and body. Her work has been profiled on CNN, KABC, NBC, AP Press, and KTTV television. She is a certified child and adolescent obesity expert and was the treatment team nutritionist on the Eating Disorder Unit at Beverly Hills Medical Center. Elyse is a Fellow of the American Dietetic Association and participates in a variety of organizations and activities that revolve around healthy lifestyle choices, including the Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutrition Practice Group of the American Dietetic Association, The International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals, The Academy for Eating Disorders, The National Eating Disorders Association, and the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders.
