I'm still surprised at how amazing it was. We tried to find a restaurant on the water that was closed (name escapes me now) and found this place. I actually thought it was closed, but when I called, it wasn't and we went in and we were so glad we did. Service was amazing and the food was absolutely delicious. Portion sizes are huge too. Waiter brings by the rolls and they were so warm and delicious, and everything after that was, too. Mussels, chorizo, lobster, seafood linguine, it was all stellar. I can't wait to go back again.

The lobster traps are outside so they are fresh. Great grilled rib eye and great views of Long Island Sound.

This is an long time favorite of ours. Its homey with a great selection of seafood, usually in large quantities, and a wonderful view of the docks, bay, and even the Bridgeport ferry! Best of all its not crowded.

The view is great. The restaurant sits up high behind a marina that has both commercial and pleasure boating. Weekdays let you see the fisherman unloading their wares. To the right of the marina, a half mile, is the ferry dock and beyond the marina is a lovely bay and the sound.

A rustic outside dining patio lets you really get close to this water wonderland.

The food comes in large quantities and in addition to lots of seafood choices there are many meat and other choices. There is a specials menu too.

A favorite of mine is pork chops and clams. This visit I had the seafood paella which was a huge portion. It had a whole lobster, clams, scallops and shrimp in a wonderful light seafood sauce and a tone of yellow rice.

My wife had fresh swordfish with clams and a maderia sauce served with potatoes and fresh green beans - wonderful.

It rustic but a great view and excellent food.

I took my husband to Dolphin's Cove for Father's Day. He wanted a two pound baked stuffed lobster, and after a search found this place last year. His meal met his expectations both visits, and my seafood dish was also very good. The restaurant is located in a semi-industrial area, but there are views of the boats and you can see the Bridgeport-Port Jefferson Ferry go by while you are enjoying your meal. There is also an indoor dining room with tables set with white table cloths, so it would be a good place to try on a rainy day or in the cold months.

This old fashioned Portuguese restaurant is located in an industrial area surrounded by run-down housing. It is on the water. The building is old and looks worn out. Once inside you see the old fashioned but maintained dining room. Delightful waitstaff. Steamers, shrimp and chicken wings were great appetizers. All with lots of delicious garlic. The best part was the baked stuffed lobster. Huge and delicious. Don't be fooled by the negative comments. This place is still good.

The food at this place was fantastic. I had a grilled striped bass and it could not have been cooked more perfectly. Also had the greek salad and clams on the half shell. Great meal served at the picnic tables on the back deck overlooking the long island sound. The weather was perfect, but if it wasn't, they had a really attractive indoor seating area with linen tablecloths and napkins. The waitress could not have been nicer. We ate at a fancy, expensive Manhattan restaurant only two nights prior to this, but the food at this place was on par. I totally recommend it.

This food is GREAT. I love to go during the warmer months and enjoy the patio. Plenty of seating outside , as well as a small bar and dining room inside. The staff is friendly. The food is enough to share between two people and seafood is very fresh. Full bar, and parking in front of building in parking lot.

I stumbled on to this place many years ago on a boat trip from the Chesapeake Bay. Loved it on opening night and have been returning every two or three years on trips to the Sound every since. The best Portigese and seafood you'll ever eat and the people are great. I even like their funkie little marina and dock my boat there. Don't miss this original.
