US Investigations Services, also known as USIS, is a provider of pre-employment screening, security investigation and national security services. It assists businesses, federal agencies and institutions in protecting critical assets, evaluating information, and identifying and mitigating risk. Established in 1996, USIS is headquartered in Falls Church, Va., and employs approximately 7,000 people. It has investigative services, commercial services and national security divisions. USIS assists clients in project management, intelligence analysis, counterintelligence, security adjudication, technical security countermeasures, polygraph testing, construction and facilities security and administrative support. Its federal clients include the departments of State, Defense, Homeland Security and Energy. USIS also provides verification, drug and alcohol testing, fingerprints collection and background investigation services. It maintains a location in Chicago.
