the food is great but the service is slow. The portions are pretty large and you will have left overs. The high lights are the options to ginger and yum yum ... the chicken was a lil over cooked.... the green tea ice cream is great.... overall I will continue to go to Japanese Steak House down town

The food was really good! My husband and I were really pleased with everything, until the bill came. Because my husband and I and our 3 children (ages 1, 3, and 6) were seated, we were billed a 15% gratuity on an $80 check. I was very disappointed, considering my youngest obviously ate off of our plates. The waitress had the bill adjusted, but before we left the manager informed us that the next time we would have to pay the 15% gratuity on a party of 5 or more. This is ridiculous!!At this particular time, I believe that I will continue to hassle with parking and meters at The Japanese Steakhouse Downtown.

The ginger sauce is to die for! My husband thinks it must cure some kind of disease. It is so good, you almost want to drink it. We get extra to take home each time one of us goes. We use it to cook fish and poultry dishes. There is usually no lunch rush at all. For $8, this is the best deal going if you need hibachi rice and bean sprouts regularly like we do. The salad dressing should also be tried on the rice. It is wonderful. Don't sleep on the soup either.

I love this place. Service is first class, the food is beyond delicious. I agree with the first reviewer the Yum Yum sauce is awesome, you must try it..

This is a really great place to eat at, I really enjoy myself especially the Yum Yum sauce..Yummie!
