My family was devastated when we lost my husband suddenly. I found myself in the position of having to quickly sell my house. We were in such a quandary. My sister was in a nursing home, her husband had died and her house was in the process of foreclosure. We didn’t have the money to repair it, and a real estate agent we consulted with suggested we contact an investor/rehabber. We really lucked out when we met Brandon Franklin of Metroplex Homebuyers. He assessed the situation and made a fair cash offer, with the closing date only 30 days away. What a relief! But Brandon went above and beyond the basic transaction. About a week before closing, we got a notice from the city that, due to the high grass in the yard, they were going to place a lien on the house. This would have stopped the sale in its tracks. The house was in Texas, and I’m in Florida. What to do? I called Brandon and, the very next day, he had the lawn mowed! Crisis averted! On the day of closing, I was able to sign the papers in Florida, thanks to a mobile notary Brandon and his title company arranged. The whole transaction was smooth and easy.
