Ordered the CFS (Chicken Fried Steak if you’re not from around these parts), full not half portion, with a side of fried okra and black-eyed Peas: dang that full order is a huge piece of meat, pounded thin with a light batter that did not slide off when you cut into the CFS.

The okra appeared to be freshly battered and fried, not out of a bag, and the black-eyed peas were tasty.

Staff are friendly and attentive without being annoying.

Came in looking for a good steak. The one I was served was thin, stringy and bland. Reminded me of a cheap Wal-Mart steak. My three companions enjoyed their food (non-steak choices). If you're looking for a good steak, look elsewhere. Our server seemed annoyed she was there, spoke in monotones.

Clean and friendly service. I had the Ponderosa and I LOVED the cheeses on it. The food is ok at best. Packaged, runny sausage gravy, instant grits, egg beaters for scrambled eggs. Fake tasting biscuits. I would like to hope that they're lunch and dinner are better than the breakfast. Although it they find it ok to serve pre-packaged ingredients, I don't see how it could be. We won't return for the food for breakfast and am curious to see how their reviews for lunch and dinner are.
