Hired Feb 21st 2017 Entrance of Appearance. Court Case 2016DR306097 Division B
Withdrew May 2, 2017 C.R.C.P 121 Section 1-1 Advisement
1.1 Mr. Van Der Jagt not showing. Rule 1.1 not showing rule of competence. Not being prepared for Court.
1.3 Negligence (Diligently Representing the Client). Let the Case be Stale
1.6 Confidentiality Allowing Mr. Loren J. Randall to reach out about the case without proper disclosure of Mr. Van Der Jagt wanting to withdraw. Causing me to get upset.
May 1, 2017 Loren J. Randall wrote in an email… “I believe you are still representing Brian. I believe you had talked about withdrawing at this point but I don’t believe the court has issued an order in this regard yet. How should we proceed with this? Maybe authorize me to speak directly with Brian regarding taxes and the sale of the home?”

Former Client- It also benefits Mr. Van Der Jagt's bank account. As he will absolutely take every possible opportunity to pad his Firm's bank account. $5000 dollars up front? Not until Mr. Van Der Jagt fails to write a MOA agreement because well, there's $5000 dollars left over, I would hate to you know give back when the opposing Attorney and I can take money and play games. Do the right thing? You got to act smart and take the money. That's who Culver Van Der Jagt is. He doesn't make mistakes. He's not Man enough to admit his mistakes.

worst experience ever. you get sucked in by sweet talk and then passed on to an unknown lawyer. The court reprimanded them for missing deadline. Abrasive lawyer made my husband hire an attorney and escalate against my desire. $5000 later no result just aggravation. No help whatsoever. Stay away.
I went to the Van Der Jagt law firm because of the 5 good reviews on Google. I wanted them to prepare our separation paperwork. They did a excellent job of that. Kate is the attorney I met with. Kate is knowledgeable, professional and friendly. I highly recommend them!
I had been going through the worst time of my life dealing with Social Services in Douglas County with my 3 small children. My religious beliefs and right to prayer were taken away from me and my children. The Department of Social Services in Douglas County terminated my family visits due to our Islamic culture and me saying prayer with my children in Arabic, and now attempting to terminate my parental rights based upon false allegations with no proof thereof. I found Culver Van Der Jagt through prayer and going on the internet and retained his services. Culver is truly on of the hardest working attorney’s that I have ever come across, he and his team at the firm were awesome working with me and my case. Culver worked more with me in a 3 day period than the department of social services did in 2years on m y case. I know that if I could have found and hired Culver Van Der Jagt 2years earlier my children would have been home. We are awaiting closing arguments right now on my case. Culver and associates are possibly a different breed. Culver takes a lousy situation and makes it a good one... wasn't roses because I would have loved to have torched her legally. But it was the best way to end the bloodletting and actually come out ahead. Class and quality are a limited resource in the legal field. Not with these folks!

A more diligent and trustworthy lawyer, I could not have asked for. Megan Kahn was amazing. I have just completed a highly contested case that the opposing council kept trying to delay. After false promises from opposing council of mediation and settlement negotiations, Megan wisely advised me that we’d need to proceed to trial. With the health of my son, and the future of my parenting involvement with him at stake, Megan focused my energy on obtaining positive results from our trial. She expertly advised me on tasks that kept me on schedule and strengthened our position. Aware of the benefits and risks, we headed to trial.
Her calm courtroom demeanour is quickly apparent. She was intimately familiar with the case and never asked a question without knowing the reply, or the result of the question. She expertly crafted her line of questioning to present evidence to the judge without risk of objection. Our position was tightly woven leaving the opposing council no room to attack and leaving the judge a clear picture of our stance on major topics. Her reasoning and tact was focused and determined.
On redirect, Megan quickly exposed the holes in opposing council’s arguments and rendered many of their points untenable. Her line of questioning was clever and effective in eliciting the needed responses from the other party without provoking hostility. It was very effective in exposing the other party’s faulty reasoning to the judge.
I could not give Megan Kahn a higher recommendation. She has helped set up a foundation with my parenting schedule that will endure the test of time, avoiding future court cases. She was instrumental in the overall success of the case.
I used Culver over two years ago now in my divorIce case and he was great! He got the judge to hear all my worries and to honor all my request. But not only did he do a wonderful job during my divorce, he is still willing to do whatever he can to help me. On the night before Thanksgiving, I was having an issue with my ex husband and I needed a signed copy of my court order and Culver being out of town and not having internet connection found a way to get me what I needed with-in 30 minutes.
