Don't waste your time... The s...

Don't waste your time... The sign outside says clear as day "$25 Wash n Set for natural hair" I also called before hand and was quoted the same price. I went in with my curly fro and requested my service. The shampoo girl was more concerned with running her mouth than paying attention to what the hell she was doing damn near ripping my hair out with a fine toothed comb as she attempted to comb it out dry. After washing and raking my hair a few times I was sent to get my hair rolled by another girl. She was good. I barely felt her doing it and before I knew it she was done. I sat under the dryer. I know us girls hate sitting under the dryer, but I was under for way more than an hour. I watched a lady who had been seated to dry after me have her hair unrolled, blown out, pressed,cut, and styled while I'm still drying. When I was finally released from the hot box I was blow dried and burnt a few times. It seemed like my flinching and "ouch's" weren't enough to give her the hint that she was blowing my scalp at close range instead of my hair. Then she decided to flat iron it after all the heat that had already been applied. When I was finally finished I was satisfied with the end result but I was charged $45. I was pissed. If the extra charge was for the bump, she coulda kept that because I didn't ask for it, and they had already given me a price. The entire time I was there they were talking crap about the customers in Spanish. I may not be fluent, but I picked up on a lot of insulting things. Just rude. Granted that every customer is styled by Miss Monica herself, it was an awful experience. I left with a tender and burnt scalp and a style that I could have achieved at home for the price it costs to plug in my flat iron.

I went to Monica's in hampton ...

I went to Monica's in hampton and I was disappointed and happy at the same time. The one thing that I liked was my color, but other than that I left the salon with bleach product on my face and the back of my shirt completely bleached. Also i didnt like how they didnt speak english at all. I understand its a dominican salon but if the majority of your clients are black it would be nice to say something in english.
