Without going into a lot of detail, we had an relative that received some care at this hospital. (not life threatening or anything) Things went okay, but we were not happy with the way she was treated, and not too pleased with the staff in general. Half of them seem to constantly be on their phones. Some were kind of rude. They didn't seem to care. Maybe they just had some personal problems or something. But that's no excuse. Our relative was extremely unhappy also.

It's been 12 years ago ,and still seems like yesterday. Too many mistakes, uncleanliness, preventable complications that nearly ended my life several times,,everyone seemed to always be in a hurry. No attention to modesty whatsoever, not covered at all when students were lined up in my room to hear the doctor discuss my conditions and treatments, their disregard of preventing infections, properly covering patients, and not saying anything about my surgery being watched by a group of students and/or interns without me being asked for approval, They need to learn how to treat patients in a much more private respecting manner. I will never return to this hospital.

We had no issues when we were there for my husband's Kidney Transplant in May of 2013. Since the Transplant my husband has improved daily in his health. We now mainly deal with the Pharmacy on a monthly basis when they ship the required medications to us Free of charge. Plus, we see Dr. Yakub one of the Post Kidney Transplant physicians when he is up here in the Elkhart County Area on the first Thursday of the month when scheduled. We appreciate his dedication to his patients and their improved health.

Worst hospital I have ever dealt with. Extremely POOR communication between physician / nurse with family members. My family member went into his second surgery, without a physician telling his outcome. Then the reception ask me if she could ask me a question (as I was walking to the bathroom)...she proceeded to tell me that my loved one went to his second surgery 15 mins ago and I need to go to the cancer care center. We waited for over 2 hours and finally asked the receptionist if he made it to the recovery. Her comment was "yeah, 10 minutes ago." So, as it going on close to an hour with him being in recovery, we have YET to hear from a physician or any nursing staff. Our cell phone numbers have been giving to each receptionist, so no reason I have not heard how he is doing...while I sit here and worry. I would steer away from this hospital, if referred here!
