Moving companies can’t insure items in boxes that the shipper packed. At the time of booking you were offered additional insurance above the provided .60/lb. You declined that coverage. For everyone out there looking for a moving company may I offer a brief education: 1) Moving companies are not responsible or legally liable for all damages that occur during a move. If we were, there would be no moving companies. When your entire house gets packed on a truck- SOMETHING is going to happen. Our movers do everything in their power to prevent damages. Contractually, and supported by our Tariff filed with the Indiana Department of Revenue, we are only liable for .60/lb. As a courtesy, we offer additional insurance through a non-affiliated 3rd party.
