Operational for more than 50 years, Indiana Public Health Association offers education and health wellness programs to the public. The organization provides education through health care providers, environmental health professionals, registrars and educators. It offers educational programs to improve public health practices, and training and research to advance public health systems. Additionally, the organization provides public education on the prevention of disease and promotion of wellness. It also offers advocacy for the health of people through communication with government officials and community leaders. Indiana Public Health Association is located in Indianapolis and affiliated with the American Public Health Association.
