Provided by YP.comWe had Anthony come over to fix an issue with our toilet and to caulk several fixtures in our home, as per our repair Amendment in our mortgage contract. He came over the first time, and he noticed our toilet would splash and gurgle when flushed. This bathroom had been a recent addition by the last owner, so there is also a sewer vent below the sink. Knowing we knew nothing about plumbing, he took the AAV (the cap to the vent, from which sewer gases emerge) off. Since he took it off, our master bed and bath has begun to smell like sewage, and we've had cockroaches get into our home. My husband decided to educate himself on the basics of plumbing, and how AAVs work. He found that the cap should not be removed because (surprise) sewer gases are not healthy for you to breathe! So we replaced it, called Anthony back up and had him come over, after calling him repeatedly for 2 weeks with just a "I'll stop by sometime this week."
