They have great food for the most part although a bit pricey but if they use fresh grease which often times they don't, the taste would be way better... depending on who they have working since most of the workers don't look professional, look like they been hired off the street with no background checks like the owner tries to save money plus looking at the aspect of things one wonders if they even wash their hands! Its so packed often times unless you go when they first open up so call in orders are a must if your in a hurry, speaking of money, the owner should invest all he's made over the years of it being in that location and remodel since the outside as well as the inside looks small and isn't very clean but overall it's a cool place to get seafood...

Visit City Fish instead....Ordered two catfish strip dinners and after presenting my amex to pay the sale decline due to they had changed the type of credit card machine when I asked the girl when this happen since I've eaten there frequently the girl started yelling and held up the machine showing me they didn't take amex anymore I proceeded to pay with cash and she continue to berate me and then told me to be afraid, be very afraid as if she was going to attack me. Believe me I will not be returning, and don't recommend this place if this is the type of people they hire to represent them. During all this the manager continued to tell her to stop talking over and over and she just kept going on and on. I literally paid to be disrespected. Maybe their under new ownership because the food was horrible at least I could have gotten a decent meal after all the threats I went thru to get it.
This is the original fish market of Kansas City!!! Mr. Reed has continuously provided the city with the freshest fish and seafood for over 20 years!! He has "stood the test of time", when other small businesses have failed due to an economic downturn. Mr. Reed should be commended for his integrity, and due diligence to customer service, quality product, and innovative ideas..... Thanks John.......LJ
Not only do they have great jumbo shrimp, the cathfish sandwich is a great value.
