I love this Facility. Its convenient, clean, and the staff is professional. The Manager is onsite and was extremely helpful when we moved in. We were offered 25 dollars off our first months rent and were not required to pay a security deposit. I still rent here and probably wont stop
It was during the summer that I was faced with having to move in with an out of town relative and put my belongings in storage. I came across McPherson storage and met Betty, the local manager. Betty was absolutely wonderful, very knowledgeable and willing to help meet my needs.
As time passed, a payment on my storage was due, so I proceeded to call, making sure it was during regular business hours so that I did not make Betty work overtime. When I called, Betty was out running company errands and told me she would call me back when she returned to the facility. I rested assured that this would happen and never gave it another thought. Well, being as overwhelmed as she is running a “one-man” show, she never did call me.
Soon after this, I was in Laredo for a weekend and remembered that I had a winter camping weekend planned within the next few weeks, so I decided to go by the storage so I could take some of these items with me and be prepared. I WAS LOCKED OUT OF THE FACILITY. Of course, at this time, I remembered that my payment was never done so I called, no one answered. This was a weekend, so I didn’t expect an answer.
The next time I call to make my payment, of course two payments are due along with late fees for the first month my payment had not been made, and again, I call during regular business hours and again, Betty is out running company errands. By this time, I am thinking, this system is most definitely NOT WORKING for me. I found Betty’s boss’ number online and call him with this concern. He returns my call THE FOLLOWING DAY, and expects me to drop everything I am doing assuring me that there is someone at the office to take my payment at that very moment. WELL, I WAS DRIVING AND CERTAINLY NOT ABOUT TO PULL OVER AT HIS REQUEST to make my payment. Sure enough, shortly after this conversation, Betty is willing and ready to take care of me, on the weekend when she is supposed to have her days off.
If the company is advertising 24 hour access, why is it that they don’t have the 24 hour access? Labor laws in Texas prohibit an employee to work 24 hours straight. I think they should either hire some more personnel to help Betty (Full-Time) or invest in allowing customers to make payments online.
I really do not believe that I am the only long distance customer they have.
The manager was very friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed the service.
