I am a native Kansas Citian who went to highd school and college in Missouri, then graduated from Duke University School of Medicine with high honors. After a surgery residency at New York Hospital-Cornell ("NY Med"), now New-York-Presbyterian where Dr. Oz practices, I completed training in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans. Since 1992 I have practice Colorectal Surgery exclusively in the Kansas City area, both in Missouri and Kansas. I am proud now to be the surgeon for Midwest Hemorrhoid Treatment Center, where each year thousands of patients from the Kansas City area come to get relief and stope "suffering in silence". Yes, I treat hemorrhoids in a minimally invasive manner, with new techniques to reduce the pain of treatment. Most procedures are done in the office or on an outpatient basis. Colonoscopy and screeing for colon cancer is a large part of my practice.
