Provided by YP.comMy grandmother was moved to Homestead for therapeutic rehabilitation my grandma told us she was denied dinner for "complaining" because she asked where she went to eat dinner. She was in the same clothes for 3 days. The therapy they gave her was walking around the facility. Another night she explained to the staff she doesn't eat mayo that was on the sandwiches they had they told her to either eat it or leave it. If it had not been for her family calling and coming by and checking in on her every day she would of missed 2 meals in the 7 days she was there. Case Work was clueless about the therapy she was receiving. Every time I went to visit her they had patients in wheel chairs in the hallways asleep and not strapped into the wheel chairs. Hand Sanatizers were empty for at least 24 hrs. Nurses never seemed to be busy, usually at the nurses desk sitting down, trying to stay awake. Would NOT suggest this place to anyone, would detour people away.

Provided by YP.comThis place smells! The décor is poor. The staff is heavy in aides/assistants/LPN/RN (without Bachelors). Often the charge nurse would sit all night out watching TV. When my loved one went out for an appointment, the charge nurse had to be reminded to put the wander guard back on. My family member that was there did take showers by self. When my loved one was asked about some bruising, later, they explained how they fell due to the floors being slick. Thank goodness it was just some bruises. I would hate to think what a fall to the head or a broken hip would have affected my loved one!! Being out of town, I did call and email staff and they were good at giving me information. Some of the time, the assumed I was a different sibling that was in town, so they were not always sure who they were talking too. I am glad I was able to obtain information and updates, but did question if they were following HIPAA Guidelines at times! Yes, there are worse places in Lincoln---but if it was up to me, I would NEVER send anyone I love to Homestead! Also, look up Homestead’s deficiencies-- https://data.medicare.gov/Nursing-Home-Compare/Deficiencies/r5ix-sfxw
