THEY LOST MY DOG
Best Friends Pet Care in Lincolnshire lost my dog today. They did NOT call us immediately when they discovered she was missing. They decided to wait 3 HOURS AFTER SHE WENT MISSING to finally tell us. Then they conveniently closed for the day, abandoning us to search for our lost dog in the dark.
The unprofessionalism and lack of responsibility of this place absolutely disgusts me. The workers here DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR DOG AT ALL. They aren’t even owning up to the fact that THEY LOST HER. They claim she jumped a barbed wire fence instead of taking responsibility for their carelessness.
DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE. THEY WILL LOSE YOUR DOG.
Best Friends Pet Care is under new management from a few years ago. It used to be a pet motel. We regularly drop off our Yellow Lab for a day of playcare. He loves it and we feel confident he is in good hands. He loves the staff as much as he loves them. He is usually so wiped out from a full day of playing, he falls asleep on the way home. We boarded him for 6 days in June 2014 and we received daily phone calls with a report card for the day. Highly recommended!
DOGS ARE NEGLECTED, IGNORED, LEFT IN DOG RUNS FOR DAYS ESPECIALLY DURING THE HOLIDAYS - I WAS AN EMPLOYEE THERE AND HAD MANY MANY PICTURE OF ABUSE AND NEGLECT BUT ONCE I BROUGHT THEM TO CORPORATES ATTENTION NAIEVELY EXPECTING THE ISSUES TO BE DEALTH WITH I WAS LET GO AND TOLD THAT I WAS NO LONGER ALLOWED ON ANY OF THEIR PROPERTIES AND IF I POSTED ANY OF THE OVER 50 PICS I HAD THEY WOULD SUE ME - THIS PLACE IS A MONEY HUNGRY JOKE - IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET - PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE - THEY ARE HORRIBLY UNDERSTAFFED AND THEIR DOG TRAINING IS A JOKE - YOUR DOG WILL LEAVE WORSE THAN WHEN IT STARTED - PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE OR YOU WILL REGRET IT........ GOOD LUCK
Awful, I would give 0 stars if I could. When I checked in, I specfically told them my dog couldn't be put on a neck collar and leash as he has a very sensitive neck and possible collapsing trachea (small dog). I left my harness there for him and they told me it wouldn't be a problem.When I picked him up, they HANDED me his harness and brought him out on neck collar and leash. REALLY?? If they couldn't comply with one simple request, they SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME UP FRONT! My dog came out hacking and coughing. I told the manager and all she said was "why are you telling me now?" REALLY?? I told them WHEN I DROPPED HIM OFF!! No apology or anything from her, WOW! IF you love your dog, you won't leave them at Best Friends Pet Care!!! It makes me wonder what they did when I wasn't there....
My dog, Riley, a 3 yr.old wheaton/poodle mix has been attending day camp 1-2 days a week for 2 years or so. To say he loves it is an understatement! He starts getting excited as soon as we turn down the street. The workers all know him and are very affectionate and playful with him. The activities with the other dogs are always well monitored, and he's never gotten injured. His positive day camp experience makes it a pleasure to board him. He's happy, he's excited, and I never fear that he'll miss us while we're gone. He's never gotten sick from boarding, either. We get him groomed here too, and though it's not his favorite thing, he always looks good.
"Hello Buster. Let's get room 402 ready." That's the kind of greeting he gets every time we take Buster to Pet Motel. And it has never changed during the 9 plus years we've boarded or day cared him there. Some staff have changed, some stayed the same but never have we felt that Buster got mistreated, even when he would slip a latch that didn't have a spring and go touring the kennel area (Just once or twice before the "Houdini" name was laid on him). We have always spoken well of Best friends American Pet Motel to anyone looking for a place to board their pet. Lots of days and overnights for our separation anxiety dog make us true believers that you folks are great!
