General Info

The Asian American Drug Abuse Program serves people throughout Los Angeles County. Its programs include water conservation, HIV/AIDS outreach and cross training, drug court services for the Inglewood Municipal Courts, tobacco education and a for profit business venture, MTC Construction. Additional programs include outpatient counseling, drug screenings, drug abuse treatments, health education, life skills training and residential treatment programs. The program was founded in the summer of 1972 when 31 Asian American youths died of drug overdoses. AADAP remains one of only two programs in the nation with a mission to target and design services for Asian and Pacific Islanders with drug abuse problems. The organization is located in Los Angeles, Calif.
