General Info
Abuse Prevention Program is one of the programs provided by the Southern California Counseling Center that is located in Los Angeles. The program was organized in 1986 to support men and women against substance abuse. It provides court-mandated and self-referred services. The center provides psychological counseling services within a supportive environment. It also provides a community counselor certification course for underserved communities. It provides emotional support and mental health services, and training, supervision and support services. It also provides other programs for development of listening skills, and crisis intervention, prevention of child abuse and domestic violence prevention programs. It also offers continuing education courses according to the criteria established by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and License Renewal and the American Psychological Association for psychologists.
