- Wound CareWounds are injuries that break the skin or other body tissues. Nearly everyone will experience an open wound at some point in their lives, but the level of severity will range significantly depending on the type. Diabetics are prone to wounds due to the suppression of the immune response and the body is often unable to heal these wounds. Chronic, complex and non-healing wounds can be debilitating. If not treated properly they can eventually result in the amputation of a limb, a severe systemic reaction or potentially even death, so timely, appropriate interventions are necessary for a successful outcome.

- Ankle SprainWhen one is an avid runner, there are a variety of injuries they can incur throughout their training. They range from mildly annoying to something requiring physical therapy or even surgery. A common injury is an ankle sprain and a sprain is a stretch and/or tear of ligament. A ligament is the fibrous band of connective tissue that joins the ends of two bones together. Ligaments stabilize and support the body’s joints. To ensure that you take proper care of your body, make sure that you stretch properly, wear appropriate footwear and listen to your body telling you to rest.
