I purchase a set of furniture that it took me the longest time to select, because of the limited selection, style, and quality of the product in the Landeros store located in Beaumont. There was one wingback chair (a floor sample) that I was willing to purchase, because the colors were so absolutely perfect for the décor I wanted to create. I literally had to beg for a discount on that item. I paid half of the cost of the products I was finally able to find; waited weeks for them to become available, then went in to pay the balance, and had a delivery set date arranged. A couple of hours later, someone from the store called to tell me that there was a tear on the accent chair, and they wanted to refund me for it....the chair had no damage to it when I purchased it. So I asked to cancel the entire order, because I would need to select new everything...the fabric on the accent chair was discontinued, so I couldn't even wait to have another chair made to replace the damaged one. Those people decided that since I did not want the rest of the pieces, that they would charge me 15% ($273.75) of the cost of my order, for "restocking/cancellation fee," after screwing up my order. Not a word of apology; not a word of what could be done to make amends, but charge me on top of ruining the furniture that I waited for for so long. My impression is that, there was one or another of the salespeople who worked on my order, who wanted that chair for themselves. So, they damaged it (minor enough that they can fix it), in order to keep it from going to me, even though that item had been on the floor for the longest time. Never mind, just as long as they get their commission at my expense. That was the crappiest experience I have had with a furniture store in my entire life. I was so upset. That's what happens when you try to save a buck, and go shopping in one of those cheep, low class stores. Never again!
