Horrible Company

I have only worked for this company for a day and I am still very disappointed on their poor lack of communication. I have been waiting for over 2 months for a check from them and every time I call, they give me the run around about how they fixed my issue but when I call the next day, they again say they rejected my timecard. I do not at all recommend this company to anyone looking for temporary work.

The Job Store, hired people for UPS without giving urinal test, I was hired by the job store to work at UPS, they had me to sign off on a drug test that I had not taken. The job store is bogus and there drug testing policy should be reviewed and all the people hired by UPS should be re-tested.

Absolutely one of the worst Temp Agencies I have ever worked for. Very Disorganized when it comes to placement, Clarity of work and Pay. I am not the only one having the issues with the pay there, I watched a room full of people come in that wasn't paid and a woman who has been working for them for 2 months still haven't been paid. It is not complicated, Do the paperwork, place someone on a job, pay them for the hours that they work, but here they seem to not get it. Only get a job with them if you like being frustrated, or it is truly a temporary thing you are looking for. If you don't want to be frustrated go find a more legit Temp Agency and work for them.

If its not one thing its another smdh,I worked for ups for these people 1st they couldn't find my check that I waited two weeks to receive 2nd I was told I didn't do the new check in system for our timecards lol that the job store NEVER gave us 3rd I was told it would b fixed and instead of getting paid Friday I will get paid Monday but they found all this out Thursday but I got to wait for checks to be ran again on friday, still made no sense.then give me my money Saturday I came in for orientation that day. 4th of all Monday comes still no direct deposit because now their saying UPS hasn't signed off on my timecard for me to receive payment,REALLY. I truly believe the minute temp services treat us as if our lively hoods are of NO importance we really need to LOOK at the bigger picture a real JOB where you as a PERSON MATTERS....

I'm really upset because these people have been holding my wife's paycheck for 2 weeks with no legal reason. They have a crazy system where you have to log in and update the hours you have worked. Later, someone has to enter and approve your timecards. Well, it's been 2 weeks without any approval and of course no payments. We have tried any single way to make them approve the timecards but it seem not to be important for anybody in that agency and the only thing we haven't tried is to them.

In response to anyone on this board that doesn't know - Temp agencies bring you on as a conditional employee REGARDLESS - as long as nothing below their background check standards comes back once your background check returns. Thus, this is the reason you are asked to sign paperwork that is typically given to you once you become an employee at a job - because you HAVE become and employee of the Job Store, simply by allowing them to be able to utilize your background, work history etc to potentially fill a position. They are simply working on behalf of their own employees. As ANY temp agency does.

You clearly DO NOT understand ...

You clearly DO NOT understand how temp agencies work. What is the big deal about filling out a w-2 form before employment? Most all temp agencies have you interview over the phone, go to fill out paper work needed, which includes your job experiences, etc...Point being, Beggar's can't be Chooser's...

I applied for a position onlin...

I applied for a position online, and I received a call from The Job Store the next day asking me to come in to their office to interview for the job. When I arrived, I was handed a thick application packet and was asked to fill it out completely. I began to do so, but stopped when I found the packet contained several documents, such as the W-4, which were clearly meant to be filled out after being hired. Worst of all, there was a document which said that by signing it, I acknowledged that I was an employee of The Job Store and (blank). I explained to the attendant that I obviously couldn't sign an agreement to be an employee of The Job Store and some unknown party before learning anything about what that employment would entail. She responded with a non sequitur about Kentucky being an "at will employment" state and told me that we could not proceed if I didn't complete all the forms. Reason proved useless, so I simply left.

Clearly, these people do not understand how the hiring process is supposed to work, and that's a sad state of affairs for any company, but especially for one whose business is hiring people. Whether you are a prospective employee or employer, you would do well to avoid these people.
