Provided by DexKnowsCarpeting Cleaning new carpet replacement scam! Beware! ACME Cleans Review and Renova-Flooring Review: I called ACME carpet cleaning (http://acmecleans.com) for them to come to my home and give me an estimate on cleaning my existing carpeting. I then had them clean all the carpeting in my house. My carpet was only five years old and had no major stains. ACME Cleans said I should consider new carpeting and pushed me to call Renova-Flooring for a free estimate. So I looked at Renova-Flooringâs website (http://www.renova-flooring.com) and they were and still are offering a plush carpet for $1.00SF installed. The salesman from Renova-Flooring showed me a carpet that was less than builderâs grade and NOT plush at all. I then asked him why his website advertises plush carpet for $1.00SF installed when I could clearly see the carpet backing the carpet was tied to just standing over the carpet sample. I then told him plush carpet is at least double or triple that and he was misleading customers. He then told me I could pay more if I wanted a better carpet. I thought to myself this seems like a bait and switch. I told him to measure the house and give me a price on a carpet that was plush. The price with new pad, plush carpet and install came to $3.50SF. This was a big difference from the advertised $1.00SF. So he said he would give me new thick upgraded pad with a linear for free and only charge me $2.50SF. Well looking at the carpet that couldnât get completely clean and the promise of a new heavy duty pad that had a linear that would protect the carpet in the future I decided to get the better carpet with protective padding. Well time passed and some of the carpet at one of the doorways started coming apart at a seam. When I looked closer and tried to fix the issue myself I realized the old pad was still under the new carpet I just bought. So I pulled up the carpet in 5 different areas/corners and realized I totally got screwed. The installers from Renova-Flooring never installed the new pad I paid for and left the old pad. I then called to complain and got nowhere. After doing more homework I realized that ACME Cleans and Renova-Flooring are the SAME COMPANY!!!! They get in your door with a carpet cleaning estimate, do a crappy job cleaning, then offer you new plush carpet cheap, then switch you to a different product a real carpet that is plush, and then they screw you on padding!!! Then they give you the run around when you call to complain and told me I didnt want the new pad and that's why I got a discount at $2.50SF. I do not recommend anyone do business with this company. Ripppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp OFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!
