The place is very dirty!A lot of health code vilotations! Food getting thawed in the sink where the employees wash their hands,placed right underneath the soap dispenser and right above cleaning detergents and chemicals! The cooks prepare the food with no gloves on,including the owner, who constanly yells and using bad language towards the employees! You can hear her all the way out at the dinning area! Christina,goes and yells at the staff in the kitchen,like she hates them! Very hostile environment! Do not waiste your money there!

When we ate at this restaurant, some of the food was under cooked and when we sent it back, they just microwaved it, which didn't help much. The shepherds pie was a little bland tasting.

The wait staff were all very nice though. I don't think we will go back to this restaurant.

My name is Candice Newman Im new to melbourne and I asked my neighbor what are some decient restraunts and he mentioned Ethel&Freds so I figured my husband and I would give it a try. I dont want to sound mean but Im just stating my opinion the food was terrible we went on sunday and had breakfast the grits were hard and lumpy you could pick the whole bowl of grits out with a fork. The eggs were raw and runny sent back twice with my ham that was cold not to mention the hash browns were burnt. Nice little spot but bad food. I will never go there ever again or recomened this restraunt to anyone else. thanks signed ~Just My Opinion~

I have been to Ethel and Freds for breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. The food is great. The Roast Beef and Turkey are made on the premises. They offer healthy homemade meals. The food is fresh and made to order. The steaks are great along with the pasta. I differently recommend you give it a try. You will definitely be back.

A local favorite, new owners, and they now take M/C, VISA etc. Good food and great service. They are also open for dinner since new owners have taken over.
