Very classy hotel. Every morning and evening they roll out the red carpet and ducks walk into the fountain in the morning and out in evening. They all live on the roof. Great stores inside lobby. One is where Elvis bought his shirts.

Very impressed with the staff at Goulds. Very professional and a lot of very talented stylists. Nicole and Jen did our updos and they were fab!

In a pinch, I decided to get a "trim" at the Goulds Peabody location. I thought it would be safe because I only wanted a small amount snipped off the ends. Boy was I sorry! The "stylist" not only chopped off an inch at the bottom but proceeded to cut in "layers" that were so short someone else in the salon had to fix it (by cutting off another inch) so that it was even presentable. I have never gotten a worse haricut in my life and would never try a Goulds again. Girl's name was Brittany in case you ever have to go there. Avoid her!

We stayed at The Peabody in Me...

We stayed at The Peabody in Memphis 05/27/2012. The hotel was in a prime location, we could walk to Beale Street. The hotel was very classy and grand. The staff was very, very nice. The workout and pool/hot tub area were beautiful. The attendant in the pool area was very nice and right there with towels the entire time. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The room was nice and the beds were very comfortable. I will definitely stay again.

My birthday "Day at the Spa" w...

My birthday "Day at the Spa" was totally ruined. Beware that if you purchase a spa package that you will be totally mis-lead and outrageously overcharged, once they coerce you into upgrading "a little" for each part of the package, it will be then itemized into an extra $100 (not counting your gratuity of $70).The prices are also higher than those posted on the web-site. The serene hydro pool has not been fixed for months, but you can go to the loud and noisy health club full of sweaty strangers across the hall from the spa if you want to use their whirlpool. (The pool had looked so peaceful and relaxing when I toured the salon last year.) If you want the complete makeover, beware that they may want to quickly "do your makeup" BEFORE getting your hairline saturated with dye with the basecoat and highlights provided in the hair syle portion of the "makeover"...not exactly the time and expertise that you you would expect from their statement that their "style team does image changing makeovers for television and magazines". I ended up having to pay for a shampoo and blow dry since my hair was greasy from massage oil and then left bare-faced to go out to dinner downtown.
