Doris is an amazing hair stylist! I came to visit Naperville and she made room for me in her schedule! I called her answering service and (thankfully) she called me back before she left her shop. Not only did she stay late to do my hair, she still consulted with me about my hair needs. My scalp feels amazing! My hair looks gorgeous! She is also reasonably priced and is really fair, even with me being natural! I felt like she gave me the ultimate service and I didn't have to be a friend, or a regular customer. She is all about healthy hair, she explained her process and products she used in my hair. She also gave suggestions on how to maintain my look and manage my hair to stay strong and healthy. This woman knows her stuff! She is very knowledgeable and skilled with the tools in her hands. I will be coming back again!

As a first time customer, I have to say, I will be back. I have natural hair and came to Doris for a sew in. She is all about keeping your hair healthy, and looking beautiful in the process. I have been uncomfortable with wearing my own natural hair, and have been wearing weaves throughout the whole transition of going natural. After leaving with a beautifully done and styled sew in, I feel very confident and excited about wearing my natural hair after I take the sew in out. If you are looking for a stylist who actually cares about the health of your hair, Doris is for you! I would recommend her.

Doris is a adaptable spirit,however I felt that she was out of touch with styling. These days styles are more free flowing than fixed I felt like an older woman when I left her shop as well as my scalp ached due to her "heavy hands". She has a very intensed washing process all in which I think some things are over the top because although washing is important coniditioning is as well and she pretty much leaves the conditioner on for a hot minute and washes it out in the bowl. All in all I've had so much better!

I love the program that we have where I come in weekly and Doris does what ever it takes to make me look great with healthy hair. I like that you don't double book and I can get in and out. That is why I am able to come every week. Thanks Dor!
