An absolute nightmare. Visiting Red bank New Jersey, had small cavity on my top front tooth. Called 1800dentist, a dentist office called within a couple hours I went for one small filling. First they charged me $300.00 for a small pinhole cavity, Second they used a drill bit that was too large, Third they bore through my tooth into the pulp till it bled, Fourth they gave me some lame excuse and said they put a barrier between the nerve and the filling so i wouldn't feel any nerve pain. Fifth they finished it in an off color that didn't match my other teeth, Sixth the borders of the filling were not smoothed out and left very obvious raised edges, Seventh, about a month later I started to feel the throbbing of a nerve, I called then they said it was probably just normal sensitivity, Eighth, Six months later I start to see my entire tooth greying except for the filling material. The nightmare continues. I wouldn't let them work on a dog! Avoid them! SAVE YOU MONEY AND YOUR TEETH!!

I tell you what, do NOT use this dentist!!! If you do and cannot keep an appointment, you will be charged for a visit you never made, even if you cancel the appointment. They turned us over to collections only 3 weeks after charging us for a missed appointment. Who and what kind of DOCTOR does this?? How fair is it to charge people for life events taking over dental appointments?? We now have a bill for $500 that we cannot pay and should not have to pay for a missed appointment. If you do use Dr. Caldwell, you better not miss. You will be charged for the work you never got!!!

They only had one dentist to recommend to me and he was quite way from my house. And we dont live in a small town, we live in Des Moines IA. I can find a dentist better suited to me and closer to my home on my own.

I called and they were very friendly. But, they gave me only one name in Omaha of a cosmetic dentist. When I called the dental office, I explained that I really wanted to be seen by someone that I would have a great deal of confidence in -- I have a great dentist but he doesn't specialize in cosmetic dentistry. The office then offered to schedule me for a consult. When I tried to gather additional info, they admitted that they were scheduling me with their newest dentist who graduated in 2008 and not somone with a lot of experience like I requested.

I had a great experience. They met all of my needs and were a very upscale practice. A little more high dollar than ii wanted but the quality is superior. Besides I did not want someone to over sell me on things I did not need. I also did not want to come out with gigantic horse teeth. As a matter of fact I asked them about their qualifications of the dentists and and the screening process. It is pretty extensive including checking to make sure they carry malpractice insurance. Sounds like to me that you just had a bad experience. Sometimes if you wait to the last minute to take care of things, no one can meet your needs. Instead of complaining on this web site, maybe you should report the dentist if you feel like they were not up to par with your standards. Of coarse, if you have high standards you most likely would have a regular dentist anyway. I just moved and it was a great experience.

It must be true about this company referring people to dentists who pay them to because I definately don't think they pre-screen these guys based on the places they've sent me and my family to. Discusting, low-class, junky, poor quality work where we've been sent. I don't trust these guys to refer me anywhere good, so I'll just search for my own. Thanks.

I totally disagree with the previous reviews. They must have been written by someone angry that they could not get an appointment that day. I feel that a great dentist doesn't have an opening right away. If they do there is a problem. So what if you have to travel. Great things are usually worth it. If you were looking for something close you most likely drive by a dentist every day. You just were not looking until you needed something. The dentists listed are extreamly qualified. Check out Dr. Causey. He may pay for the service but so does every dentist that advertises in the paper, billboards, TV. How else would you know where to find him. If you prefer to select your dentist while driving down the interstate then be my guest. At least with 1800 Dentist I can check the dentist out. He is totally check out by 1800. I hate when people bash things that they don't really understand. You should have gone to Dr. Causey. He is worth the drive. He is very qualified, caring and gentle.

1-800-DENTIST only recommended dentists that pay them for the referrals. They are not referring you to the best dentist only the very few dentists that will sign a contract with them... If you need a dentist ask a friend or family member for the name of a good dentist..why call some stranger that is hundreds if not thousands of miles away and that has never even even met the dentist that they are referring you too?

They only recommend Doctors who pay them. They wanted me to see a Dentist a long distance away from me.
