Bobby G. came and changed 2 wires on our new thermostat/left the screws and front of the a/c without putting them back. Advised our duct work was very in need of cleaning or replacing (it had mold, moisture etc. All he really wanted was to sell us a new unit. $199.00 for this???? Would not use this company again. Thought I was calling Palm Harbor Air which we have always used and they were very honest. Northside bought out Palm Harbor a/c so we will not be using Northside again.

Company sold new furnace then misrepresented 8 year old used furnace as the new furnace. This company attempted to deceive me and ultimately they would have scammed me. Luckily I was home, knew enough to look, and knew enough to ask questions. The Scary part is, had I had my wife or my parents opening the door for this company, I would have been scammed! I called this company to come out and they did on 12/17/2013 and was told by James Thornsberry I needed a $375 furnace part and $100 charge for them coming out... I then asked for the price of a new unit instead and was told $1950 (I said No thanks to that)... then the price was suddenly $1400 with 0% financing. I said ok, signed the financing paperwork, and scheduled for the next day. I was repeatedly told by James this would be a new unit, but it would only have a 5 year warranty due to it not being connected to other new units. The "new" unit I was getting arrived the following day on 12/18/2013 and that is when my consumer confidence and trust in the company began to plummet... The unit was not in box, was not the same manufacturer as quoted (carrier instead of bryant), had some rust on it and even had tape residue from a previous install on it... I immediately questioned this and asked where my furnace was... The guys quickly got in their truck and made calls without me being able to hear.. I was then called by my sales guy(james). He tried to assure me that it was just a "training" unit and that it was indeed new... At that point I asked the tech how old and he told me 2012... I then asked them to open it up and it was in fact from August of 2005... I decided I did not want a "new" 8-year old used until and asked for what I paid for... A new Unit... I spoke with my sales person, the GM(Steve i think), and the owner... They ultimately told me they would not install a new unit for that price and instead tried to now sell me the used unit now for $1200 or a real new unit for $1750. While talking to THE OWNER, I told him that I did not have the budget for the higher price and would not buy a used. He told me the actual price of a new until was $800-1100, yet refused to install one for less than $1750... he tried several times assured me that $1750 was a great price.. When I held to my price and reminded him that I had an agreement signed, and said I would post reviews... Ultimately this christian owner tried to bring GOD into the equation and use GOD to persuade me not to post negative reviews on them. He then hung up on me. Additionally this company repeatedly advised me that the permit was part of the reason for the cost, yet I have been told that it would have been against code to install the until they were installing because it would have instead required a full system upgrade. I have been told by companies that they doubt this company pulled a permit and it was never their intention to.

I had the worst experience with this Christ centered business. I spent a few hundred dollars having them replace a fan motor that was under warranty. They did not fix it. I contacted them and they ignored me. When I finally contacted them again, they said they wanted another 100 to check it out. This is not fair. I am going to end up paying 600 or more for something that was under warranty and only took them 8 minutes from start to finish. Don't use them!!

STAY AWAY!!! I had one of the...

STAY AWAY!!! I had one of their handouts, "Gloryifying Christ by Excdeeding Expectations." MY AC went out Wednesday. I already knew it was the capacitator. I called them. They told me $94.00 service charge (high, but they are Christians). He guy confirmed it was the capicatator. Then he said the other part was "burned to a crisp" and would die out soon; and it was better to do both together or I would have to pay another $94.00 service charge. The AC thing outside started going around. He put his cables on. Then he turned off the AC and told me the compressor was burned out and I had two choices - replace the system or replace the system. I told him the compressor isn't burned out because it's working. He said it was burned out and the AC wouldn't work.

I told him when he first came that I was unemployed and have no money and anything major was out of the questions. We went in the house. He showe me his paper on systems - $5,000.00. I told him again I do not have a job and no credit and no money so a new system was out of the question. The house was 95 degrees. He said, "There is nothing I can do. I am going to leave on the two parts I put on because by law I can't take them back. I wrote out the check for the $94.00. He went outside to put the panel back on. I asked him if anything would work. He said I could turn on the blower and that would move the air around. Then he left.

I sat here a half hour. Then I called AC repairs (who is the servicer for TempStar). He came out - no service charge. I told him everything Northside Guy said. He took off the panel. When the Northside Guy came and put the panel back on, he was quick to remove his two new parts, put one of my old ones back on. He took the old capacitator. He also cut the wires, just leaving the wires stripped, so they could not be reconnected to new parts.

The AC Repair Guy had to try several capacitators to get the right one, then had to put new connectors on the stripped wires and connect everything. He turned on the system - and it works just fine.

I went from a $160 repair - to $420 - to $5,000 - back down to 160. I stopped payment on my $160 check.
