1. Remarkable Food at Machiavelli During our visit to NYC last week our friends referred us to nearby Machiavelli for breakfast. Intrigued by the decor, we were equally thrilled with the quality of service and flavor of the food. Wishing we could have changed plans to visit them for dinner, we did make the time for a 2nd breakfast visit - bringing three friends with us. Again, outstanding service and remarkably flavorful food. The Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, French Toast and Asparagus Omlettes left us hanging in anticipation for our next visit to NYC with plans for a return visit to indulge in dinner/music. As strong jazz music fans, we were thrilled to learn of their commitment to classical music/support for local, high quality student music efforts - what a refreshing change! Our only wish would be for a sister location in Los Angeles! Highly recommended! Stefano et Delfine

Al Pacino Italian trattoria destination in the West VillageThe Restaurants La Focaccia location at a prime people-watching corner and its modest prices for the quality and amount of food on the plate, this is an excellent value. Delicious Italian food with a wonderful atmosphere. I eated a flavorful grilled Italian sausages not overcook just right from the brick oven. These well-seasoned and juicy, large salsiccie were split down the middle and spread wide across a shallow puddle of tomato sauce and several lego-sized blocks of polenta. Beautiful dessert and the wines. Magnifico My best place to eat and drink. We have brought friends there and they have also loved it. We even saw Al Pacino there one night.La Focaccia is really the best destination. Highly recommended!Delfine
