General Info
Diablo Wheel Works joins the Retail market Los Angeles Pacific Palisades, California – Diablo Wheel Works LLC (Precision Bicycle Wheels & Repair) opens for business as a new local retailer. Ryan Morse (Owner and sole member of Diablo Wheel Works Diablo LLC) has opened a full service repair shop and specialty wheel building business out of his house, legally, with full retailer status. “Although I am a legal Bicycle service and repair business I am not a traditional bicycle retailer. Because I'm on the smaller side and just getting started I have decided to do things a little differently. I am not a shop that stocks a lot in parts but I am a shop that has access to many key vendors so I am able to order whatever parts my customer would like. In the day and age of the Internet killing the retail price on much of the product in the bicycle industry I am trying to embrace the fact that most of my customers over the last few years decide to buy parts on line. Because of this I am banking on the fact that the Internet cannot sell quality, honest and reasonable customer service and guidance. Considering that parts are a day away either for me to order or for my customer to order it is never a problem to get good quality parts and great quality customer service in a quick but non-traditional manner.” With the nickname “Diablo” (bestowed upon him while he working at I. Martin Bicycles in Los Angeles, Ca.), almost 20 years as a wheel builder / mechanic that ran service departments in both Oregon (for the Bike Gallery) and Los Angeles, Ryan is applying all of his knowledge and know how to build a small bicycle wheel building and repair business that will cater to all that call upon him. He is definitely taking a leap of faith by doing things on his own but that is how he likes it. If you talk to anyone that knows Diablo, they will tell you that he does things his way but that is why we love him. For him to decide to go on his own is the only natural progression for a guy with his expertise and talents in bicycle repair and customer service. The largest benefit for Ryan and his customers is that he will now have the proper time to dedicate to his customers and the myriad of projects that come his way. From building up a classic 80’s stumpjumper with a Campagnolo Record Triple grouppo to assembling a childs new bike, no job is to small and every project is treated with pride and determination.
