We love Italian food but if you want to pay more than you should and have the Palatine Police called on you because you questioned the bill, then go here! The waitress made a mistake and would not admit to it in front of the manager so I refused to pay the wrong amount so he called the police, at which point my wife said lets just pay it. Later I thought t would have been worst for them to have the police show up and I know I would have been found to be correct. Right or wrong you never call the police on your patrons!!

I recently had business in the Palatine area & decided to try Agio Italian Bistro for lunch. I had the Caprese Salad with sliced tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, oregano, olive oil & balsamic. What impressed me is that all the ingredients were top notch & therefore this simple dish tasted AWESOME. The balsamic, which is frequently too strong in vinegar, was mellow, aromatic & flavorfull. The sliced tomatoes were perfect & the mozzarella was OBVIOUSLY of high quality. I KNOW THIS BECAUSE I HAD THE SAME DISH AT ANOTHER ITALIAN RESTAURANT A FEW WEEKS LATER & IT WAS CLEARLY NOT IN THE SAME LEAGUE.I then returned to Agio for lunch again, and picked the Turkey Panini. Again, it was clearly made by a chef in the know. Outstanding. I will return to try many other dishes.
