First want to give 10 high fives to our Server Jeff, he went above and beyond what is expected. The Trio Combo of Fish was absolutely Spectacular:), and the Braised Short Ribs tell their own story. To end the evening, we were blessed with the Molten Souffle Cake Served with a Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and we also tried the Take Me To Heaven Pineapple Upside Down Cake served with Coconut Milk Ice Cream. 5 Stars to this Restaurant and all those who make this Restaurant what it is. Good place for special occasions. Food is decent but can be pricey. Decent selection of dishes and drinks. Wait is long if you don't have a reservation!

Mixed Feelings

I visited Roy's with my family for a anniversary celebration. The service was awesome with special touches for our special day.

It was first time I ever tried Butterfish. It was so delicious, very tasty and tender. My 5 year old son also enjoyed his food. He's not a very picky eater, but it could be difficult at times finding the right foods. At Roy's it was no trouble at all.

I can see why the other reviewer thought the hostess was snooty. I would have to agree. We arrived slightly early (15 minutes or so) but they would not seat us until our reservation time. It was a Wednesday night, the room was half empty. I didn't get it...

Aloha in Pasadena

A Roy's opening up in Pasadena! This saves me $500+ plane tickets to Hawaii! (Alright there's a closer one in downtown LA, but definitely does not have the tropical vibe)

What can I say, Roy's is my favorite upper-scale restaurant chain, and I have yet to be disappointed by one. When my friends took me to this newly opened Roy's for my birthday, I was expecting nothing but a perfect dining experience, and I was not disappointed!

Things we got: canoe appetizer for 5, wagyu beef roll, surf and turf, porterhouse steak, shellfish combo, fish trio, molten lava cake, and plenty of tropical drinks. All of it was superb, the restaurant is well-decorated, and the service was very attentive and aloha friendly. Highly recommended, just get a reservation as it's booked for weeks!
