Eating at Johnnie's is like experiencing dinner at Grandma's house all over again. Great family atmosphere, red and white checkered tableclothes and all. And the food is all prepared to order. So, sit back, relax and have a few appetizers - the crab cakes are excellent and the calamari is also great - but you can't go wrong with any of them - while you wait for Johnnie or one of his chef's to prepare your meal. The veal dishes are great but my favorite is the pasta with seafood fra diavlo. We are a family owned business serving the community for over 17 years.       Very nice Italian restaurant

      We usually go to a irish pub in downtown philly after the Army /Navy game in philly but this year we wanted to try somewhere different so we called Johnnys and we were pleasantly surprised to find this Italian south philly gem. Great food, great people and they weeven nice enough to accommodate our party of eleven without a reservation. Awesome place.
