Totally agree with SkinsFan from 09/09/10. Recently had a classic done by JB. Over $10,000 in cost. Assured 6 week turn around time, ended up being over 3 months. Overpriced and not stand behind the time guaranteed. Good workmanship itself but not worth the hassle. Will not be using these guys again nor will I refer anyone who asks.

Great work repairing my driver's seat in my 1966 Chrysler. They promised in four days and had it done by 10 AM the following day! I brought the (Hard-to-Find) original OEM fabrics, and they did the rest. The thing matches the other seat perfectly. $125.00. I've got three more driver seats to repair. I'm bringing them to these guys.

Don't buy a car from TJ Auto Sales

was totally disappointed with the way Tom Nelson handled the marketing materials, that represented the car as a 1964 Porsche 356 SC, which it was not.To the completion of the transaction when he told me the engine was in good operating order, and has very few miles on a rebuild. When the car was received at my friends restoration shop, he noted that the engine was knocking when he took it off the transport truck, and this was passed along to Tom.Tom said if there was a problem, he could help out getting it fixed, contributing parts needed for the rebuild, etc. He asked me to have a specialist make sure the noise we heard was indeed a piston, or bearing, or Rod, which I did but it took me a coulple of weeks to get that person in to look it the car. Indeed the conclusion was the same. In fact Tom told me at that time he had heard a similar noise that he dismissed as nothing. When asked why he did not disclose that to me , he said I should of listened to a recording of the car motor which I did play on my phone, but of course could not hear any knocking. He then said if I had confirmed this sooner he would had more reason to help, who knows how the car was driven over several weeks period of time. I can conform that the engine sat in the restoration shop, and was only driven by mechanics to analize the knocking sound.Tom never encouraged me to come and see the car before I purchased it, but he used the fact that I did not, as the reason that I could not rely on anything that was said when I bought the car. This guy is not a guy you want to buy a car from, lots more complaints about him on the WEB.recently purchased a 356 SC Porsche from Tom Nelson at TJ Auto sales.Although the car was advertised as an SC, When I got the certificate of authenticity, it turned out to be a C model worth substantially less. The car was represented to be in good operating condition with everything working. When the car was received it was noticed that there was a rapping sound in the engine. It was received at a restoration shop, not by me, and several weeks later when they had time to diagnose it, the problem was a major engine problem that will require disassembling the engine and putting in some new part, at a cost of over 2000 dollars.Tom s response at TJ auto sales was that the car was purchased as is, and that I bought it that way. He mentioned he had heard the same noise, but did not think it was anything major. He said he had a recording of the engine on the web advertisement, and that I should have listened to it more carefully before I bought the car. Also the entire fuel gauge was on the car, but not only was it not operating, it did not even have an indicator needle to read the fuel level.I feel the car was totally misrepresented, so I would not recommend you buy a car from Tom Nelson at TJ Auto sales.

Run away as quickly as you can!! Do not buy your car from T.J Auto, or at very least, take it to a qualified independent mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection BEFORE you buy the car. I recently went to look at a Volvo XC that they were selling at an excellent price and admittedly was impressed by how nicely the car drove and how clean the interior was. I was a little put off by the fact that the salesman came along for the test drive, that never happens at other good dealers. But I liked the car and thus took it to my mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection, and let me just say, I thank God that I took that extra step! It turns out the car wasn't even remotely safe to drive, because they had gutted it in an attempt to get rid of mechanical problems! The drive train and the rear axles were completely MISSING and the list of other problems goes on and on. The mechanic said he has never seen anything like that and that it should be illegal to sell a car in that condition. Beware!

I bought a car for my daughter from TJ Auto. I rarely even consider buying a car from a used-car dealership, but TJ Auto had a car my daughter was interested in, so I went a looked at it. It was everything she wanted, so I started dealing with Tom (the owner). He gave me a very fair price, and also fixed a couple of small issues on the car before we picked it up. Overall, I was VERY impressed!
