      General Info
      The California Emergency Medical Services Authority offers health care and injury prevention services in more than 58 counties in California. It employs nurses and physicians and offers leadership skill development programs for the planning and implementation of local emergency medical services. The California Emergency Medical Services Authority also offers technical assistance services for local agencies to develop, implement and evaluate the components of trauma care systems. It promotes emergency preparedness, injury prevention and educational activities. The authority also offers assistance services for contractors to support poison control service operations.
