      SPCA of Monterey County, founded in 1905, is an independent nonprofit agency that provides residential and clinical support services for animals. It offers a wide range of services, such as rabies vaccination, species identification, health evaluation, animal-related information, and microchip implants and scanning. The services provided by the agency also include behavioral consultation, pet supplies, and lost and found reports. The agency undertakes a variety of adoption programs and provides rescue operation, disaster management and rehabilitation services. In addition, it organizes animal classes and undertakes various educational programs that offer information on animal behavior. The agency is located in Monterey, Calif.
