I enjoy seeing the impact that orthodontics has on my patients’ confidence and self-esteem. As a young sixth-grader I set my sights on becoming an orthodontist and have never regretted it. Not only do I value the long-term relationships I build with patients and their families, but it is also so rewarding seeing the life-changing impact an improved smile has on a person. Dr. Scott McElroy and his family I grew up in Las Vegas, NV, where I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I then moved to Los Angeles and earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UCLA School of Dentistry. Pursuing further dental education, I specialized in orthodontics at the University of Connecticut, where I earned a Certificate of Orthodontics and a Master’s Degree in Dental Sciences. In 1998 I moved to the East Bay and have been in the private practice of orthodontics ever since.
