This is the best Chinese restaurant in Santa Barbara. The regular menu is terrific and it's the only one I've found which makes a large variety of vegetarian dishes. Try the curry shrimp (or any of the curry dishes for that matter)... delicious. The "Shang Hai" recipes are wonderful, as well. And the owner is wonderfully friendly, whether you're a first-timer or a regular. Great place!

If you a have vegetarian in the family, and you like Chinese cooking, their tofu menu is a lifesaver. Food is consistently top rate. Cozy atmosphere, small, but accomodating. Owner is very nice. Also close to Santa Barbara Bowl, so a good place to jump into before a concert.
