Provided by YPmobileThe food there is not authentic at all. Expensive and hard to eat.

Provided by YP.comOur first, and probably last, visit to Big Bowl was largely inexpensive but not very tasty. We didn't try their 'signature' dishes but I'm a fan of the saying "if you can't prepare it right, don't put it on the menu". We sampled various appetizers which came with some sauces that could've been excellent except for the over-abundance of sesame oil. The oil permeated every other flavor and left a rancid taste in my mouth. I was still smelling the oil on my clothes the next day. One of my thai favorites is Satay chicken but after sampling it Big Bowl style I decided to pass from now on and get it from Tub Tim Thai or make it myself. The chicken was saturated in a spicy and sickening sweet BBQ sauce, and over cooked to boot. My favorite part of most Satay Chicken is the peanut dipping sauce, which I couldn't even taste because of the BBQ sauce coated chicken. Upon tasting the peanut sauce by dipping my pinky into it I found that it was just as well since it was mostly flavorless, except for the sesame oil! We tried their Salmon Rolls, which were pretty good, the Chicken potstickers which were probably the best (except for the sampling of sesame oil flavored sauces) and something called Pork Bao - silly me thought these would be made from scratch - but for $2.95 my guess is they were from a frozen package - oh, and they still had the wax paper packaging on the bottom! Finally we tried the BBQ pork fried rice, which could have redeemed the entire dining experience except the pork was 80% fat. The jasmine rice was tasty and lacked the heavy hand of the sesame oil chef. If I do manage to try Big Bowl again sometime in the future, I'll stick to what they 'claim' to do best and make my own meal.

Provided by YP.comThe homemade ginger ale is a must. The chicken thai pad has a wonderful citrus accent that made this dish unique. Both food and service were good.

Provided by YP.comNot bad. I do like the food here and the atmosphere is fun. You have to go off-peak times, though otherwise it is madness here. Service is ok. Prices are just ok, too.
