If you have any respect for your time, patience, and money, PLEASE DO NOT go to Avalon Dental. I have given them MULTIPLE chances before I decided to write this review. I will discuss my experiences below.

My wife went in for a deep cleaning and she was told that she needed "gum therapy" because her teeth were in the early stages of gingivitis. We were quoted thousands of dollars for this procedure and we decided to go through with it. The day we showed up to the office, we started having second doubts so we asked if they could first fill the multiple cavities my wife had and allow us to decide on the gum therapy later. We were rudely told that they did not have enough time to fill ANY cavities and that their "treatment plan" requires them to do the gum therapy first. If they had time to do gum therapy which takes several hours, how come they could not fill in a few cavities? We went to TWO different dentists for second opinions and neither of them mentioned any signs of gingivitis or gum therapy treatment.

I recently got a general cleaning done here and at the time I did not have my insurance information. I was told by the front desk that I would have to pay around $150 dollars for the exam ($99 for exam and ~$50 for the cleaning). When I got to the front, they wanted to charge me over $200. I asked her why and I was told, "X-rays are extra...that's not included." I then told her at no point was I told X-rays were not included in the exam so she begrudgingly waived the charge. This place has been nothing but a headache. I will definitely not be returning.

i.I have been looking for a "Good" dentist and have to look no further. Dr. Yu and the staff at Avalon Dental are so professional, caring and nice! I neglected my teeth for awhile but Dr. Yu didn't make me feel bad about that, he just suggested what he felt would be the best and most cost effective way to resolve my problems. No High Pressure Sales, No Unnecessary Procedures, just an educated evaluation and recommendation on what should be done. The dental hygienist was very personable and took her time to clean my teeth the way they should be.
