I was originally referred to Caring for Women in January of 2014 for a normal yearly. I called, made an appointment for March. It got rescheduled, I guess the doctor I was set to see was delivering a baby or something. It happens.

So the next time they could see me was June. That got rescheduled for a similar reason. Then the next time was August. Rescheduled for a Similar reason. September rolls around and I'm having an issue at this point.

I go in on an emergency visit and I am berated and ostracized by a Dr. Salk about my weight. I am someone who is going through the painfully long process of weight loss surgery at the moment, so my "weight" is a known issue that is currently being handled. Yet he saw fit to brag to me that he could climb Mt. Washington and I couldn't, and accused me of not being able to climb 3 FLIGHTS OF STAIRS like I'm immobile or something. This guy doesn't KNOW me, or my medical history. This was my first visit. He purposefully made me feel like I was somehow less of a person because of my weight. Fat shaming doesn't begin to cover it. He ran some blood tests AND WANTED TO SEE ME BACK THE FOLLOWING WEEK. The entire experience threw me into full blown panic mode and I called and explained what happened and said I wanted nothing more to do with that man. But I still haven't had my yearly which is 9 months past due at this point. They tell me the soonest they can get me in is December 17th, and "It's not so bad because it's really not that far away".

Well I just got a call and the doctor is apparently performing surgery that day.

So now I am a YEAR LATE on my yearly, and everyone knows that IF THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG like CANCER the key is to catch it early.

I'm so absolutely disgusted and I have had such an all around horrible experience I want nothing more to do with this place.

I suggest if you are overweight or someone who just needs basic gynecological care you go somewhere else. Now I have to take on the arduous task of contacting my PCP for a new referral and hoping they can get me in with someone who can see me asap, as again, I am extremely late on my yearly.

Horrendous. Don't even bother.

I love My OB GYN. The first appointment was very detailed and easy going. Dr. Spurrell made me feel calm and relaxed. I'm 25 weeks along and I'm very confident knowing Dr. Spurrell will be delivering my baby!

Dr. Janet B Lefkowitz is a great OB/GYN

A year ago I needed an OB/GYN as I didn't have one and I was due for my yearly pap test and I didn't make an appointment and Dr. Janet B. Lefkowitz took me right away which was nice of her. We didn't know each other well at first that's ok and we did get to know each other. She is very caring, and very nice and she will listen to you and she doesn't judge. A month ago she called me up to let me know that my pap test came back abnormal and I glad that she did that. I never heard of a doctor calling a patient for there results and this was the first time with me.

Also, she diagnosed me with HPV and she gave me brochures on that and I read more about it online. When she did my colposcopy and biopsy for the first time she was very gentle and it didn't hurt at all like I thought it would. Also, a week before the precedure she called in the pharmacy to prescribe me a Valium to take because my anxiety would get bad. Also, she told me to take some ibprofins an hour before the precedure and I did and she told me to have someone drive me and a friend did and she held my hand the whole time and Dr. Janet and my friend said that I was doing just fine.

I do recommend women to go to Dr. Janet B. Lefkowitz she is great and she does care about women.

She get's 10 stars from me and I will not go to any other OB/GYN only Dr. Janet B. Lefkowitz
