Warning!!!! This has to be the worst Veterinarian clinic in the state of RI !! Not only are they way over priced - they do not/will not disclose any cost until it's too late. The Vet's and their techs have absolutely NO bed side manner w/the animal or the owner. They badger you into unnecessary tests and blood work. If you refuse, they treat you as if you are a non-caring, horrible pet owner. Vet kept asking same questions over & over and treated me as if I was lying. To keep this short- the Vet left the room w/out finishing gland expression(on my dog), sent in the receptionist to finally tell me the cost and she tells me that 'they couldn't allow me to leave w/out full payment' and that I should 'call a friend or relative to bring me money' - if i couldn't afford And also the Vet would not come back into the room and finish the gland expression until full payment was made. NO ONE IS GOING TO TELL ME THAT THEY CARE ABOUT YOUR PET - THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THEIR PAYDAY! I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THIS OVERPRICED, NON CARING OFFICE AGAIN!!! You have been warned....

Money hungry. You need to come...

Money hungry. You need to come in a pay a "research fee" of $38 in order to make an appointment to get an international Health certificate?! The only "research'" they need to do is call the USDA vet which takes all of 5 minutes. The USDA vet will give you a current step-by-step breakdown of exactly what needs to be done in order for a pet to enter any country in the world. This is FREE and easily available information. They are using the ignorance of the average pet owner to make a few extra bucks. I have traveled with pets before to Russia, Sweden, even Honk Kong. I have never had to pay a "research fee" to get an international health certificate from other vets I have used.

Business Response12/05/2012

Approximately two years ago, governing bodies in the veterinary field required that veterinarians be primarily responsible for ensuring safe international travel for patients receiving health certificates from them. As such, doctors must now review not only the USDA information, but the full medical records of new patients like this, and then provide the owners with detailed, country-specific instruction at their appointments. As most owners are not the seasoned travelers as the reviewer, this has prevented many dangerous situations for pets, but is also very time-consuming. Therefore, most clinics have added this fee to their health certificate appointments for the service.
