Wow! I flew into Youngstown and stayed at the Holiday Inn I asked the front desk if they knew of a good place to go for a cut and shave they referred me to Lou at the Blade. I was so impressed with how professional and layed back his shop was (not your typical barber shop) more of a man's shop. Lou knew what he was doing, good conversation, great music, sports on the tube and I left there receiving the best hair cut I had ever had. I felt great for my meeting and won the account. Thanks Lou, I will be back.

i was a walk-in for a trim-type haircut, but lou the barber goes by appts only. he had an opening at that time so i got in the chair. after a quick shampoo, he tallked about how to cut it , did a decent cut while it was wet and seemed very particular with what he was doing, used some kind of clean-smelling lotion on it that got it looking real neat, combed it up decent with a clean part, trimmed my eyebrowls, and shaved the back of my neck so it was clean-looking. i was in the barber chair about 25 minutes and got personalized attention, and had a clean-cut look after he was finished. price was $18. good complete and decent looking haircut, he gives you more than the basic haircut for a reasonable price.

decent haircut and goom-up

i was shopping in the mall area on south blvd after work, and was going to meet my girfriend at the mall later for dinner. my hair was kind of shaggy looking, and i needed a haircut, so walked into this shop. one guy was just being finished up by the barber, lou, and i was next. he goes by appointments mainly, but took me as a walk-in since there was nobody with an immediate appointment. he greeted me and i sat in his barber chair. the next thing i know, the chair was tilted back, and i was lying with my head over the sink. he hosed my hair down with water, then shampooed it, and sat me upright, and partially dried my hair with a towel. after the shampoo, my hair was smelling clean and fresh. he thru a cape over me, then listened to how i wanted it cut, and began cutting it wet. he is a good conversationalist and talked about interesting things. after about 5 minutes, he used some lotion on it to give it some control, and cut some more, then blow-dried it partially to give some style. he used some good smelling hair cream on it to keep it in place, then combed it up so it looked neat and decent, with a clean part. he trimmed my eyebrowls, and then shaved the back of my neck so it looked cleaned up, and applied some good smelling aftershave. i was in the chair about 25 min. and got individualized attention from lou the barber. the haircut looked good and i looked well groomed, and smelled decent too. my girlfriend liked the haircut on our dinner date. cost was $18, a little more than i usually pay for a haircut, but got individualized attention and groom-up as well from lou. great place to get a complete haircut.
